Terms of Service
Welcome to TravelThread. By downloading or using the TravelThread app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using TravelThread, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You may not use another person's account without permission.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
3. Use of the Service
TravelThread is a private social app for travel groups. You may use it to create groups, upload photos, send messages, and share trip content with people you invite.
You agree not to:
- Upload content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable
- Upload content that infringes the intellectual property rights of others
- Harass, bully, or intimidate other users
- Use the app to distribute spam or malware
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or data
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise misuse the TravelThread service or API
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose
4. Your Content
You retain ownership of the photos and content you upload to TravelThread. By uploading content, you grant TravelThread a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, display, and process that content solely to operate the service (e.g. generating your trip story collage, displaying photos to group members).
You are solely responsible for the content you share. We do not endorse any user-generated content.
5. Trip Groups and Shared Content
When you join a trip group, you agree that your photos and messages will be visible to all other members of that group. If a group votes to make their trip story public, the generated collage may be shared publicly via a link.
Group admins may remove members or content from their group.
6. TravelThread Plus (Subscription)
TravelThread Plus is an optional paid subscription that unlocks additional features. Subscriptions are billed through the Google Play Store. All purchases are subject to Google Play's terms and refund policies.
We reserve the right to change the features included in TravelThread Plus or adjust pricing with reasonable notice.
7. Intellectual Property
TravelThread and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by TravelThread and are protected by applicable intellectual property law. The TravelThread name, logo, and design are our trademarks and may not be used without written permission.
8. Disclaimers
TravelThread is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
We are not responsible for the content posted by users or for any damages arising from your use of the service.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TravelThread shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the app, including loss of data, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
10. Termination
You may stop using TravelThread and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of TravelThread after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Netherlands.
